Aboriginal Peoples of Canada
Aboriginal Peoples of Canada are the original inhabitants of the land, comprising First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. First Nations are diverse groups with distinct cultures and histories; Inuit primarily inhabit the Arctic regions and have a unique culture adapted to cold environments; Métis are people of mixed Indigenous and European ancestry, with their own language and traditions. Together, they have inhabited Canada for thousands of years, contributing rich cultural heritages. Recognized by law as Indigenous peoples, they continue to assert their rights, preserve their traditions, and work toward reconciliation and equality within Canadian society.
