Aboriginal languages

Aboriginal languages are the diverse spoken languages of Indigenous peoples in Australia, representing hundreds of distinct linguistic groups with unique grammar and vocabulary. Many of these languages have deep cultural and spiritual significance, reflecting their connection to land, traditions, and identity. Over time, however, many Aboriginal languages have become endangered due to colonization, displacement, and language loss. Efforts are now underway to revitalize and preserve these languages through education, documentation, and community initiatives, recognizing their importance in maintaining cultural heritage and diversity within Australia.
