Abolitionist
An abolitionist is someone who advocates for ending and removing a particular practice or system they believe is unjust or harmful. Historically, the term is most often associated with those who actively campaigned to abolish slavery, arguing that owning people as property is morally wrong and should be abolished. Abolitionists work through activism, advocacy, and sometimes legal efforts to bring about societal or legal change. Their goal is to eliminate practices they see as inhumane or unethical, promoting justice, equality, and human rights for all individuals.
