Abdomen
The abdomen, commonly called the belly area, is the part of your body between the chest and hips. It contains several important organs, such as the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and kidneys, which are involved in digestion, waste elimination, and other vital functions. The abdominal muscles help protect these organs and support body movements. The abdomen also houses blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissues. When someone has abdominal pain or discomfort, it could be related to any of these organs or structures, and medical evaluation is often needed to determine the cause.
