Aage Niels Bohr (sons of Niels Bohr)
Aage Niels Bohr was the eldest son of the famous physicist Niels Bohr. Like his father, he was a physicist who made significant contributions to our understanding of atomic structure and quantum theory. Aage Bohr worked on predicting energy levels of atoms and helped develop models explaining how electrons behave around the nucleus. He also served as a director at the Niels Bohr Institute. His work advanced fundamental physics, building upon his father’s legacy, and earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975, shared with Ben Roy Mottelson and James Rainwater for their insights into the structure of atomic nuclei.
