A-type variable stars
A-type variable stars are a category of stars that belong to the A spectral type, characterized by their white or bluish-white color and surface temperatures around 7,500 to 10,000 degrees Celsius. Some of these stars exhibit regular brightness variations over time, known as variability. This variability can occur due to pulsations within the star, changes in their outer layers, or interactions with companion stars. A-type variables are important for astronomers studying stellar evolution and internal processes, as their predictable changes offer insights into the complex physics of stars at this stage.
