A Theory of Human Motivation (document)
"A Theory of Human Motivation," proposed by Abraham Maslow, suggests that humans have a hierarchy of needs. Basic needs like food, water, and safety must be met first. Once these are satisfied, people seek social connections, esteem, and recognition. At the top is self-actualization, the desire to realize personal potential and growth. Maslow's model explains that motivation progresses through these levels, with higher-level needs becoming important only after lower-level needs are fulfilled. This framework helps us understand what drives human behavior and personal development.
