A Model Minority
The "Model Minority" is a stereotype that suggests a particular minority group, often Asians in the U.S., is more successful than others because of their hard work, education, and discipline. While it can highlight achievements, it can also create unfair expectations and overlook challenges faced by individuals in the group. It can obscure the diversity within the group and sometimes be used to dismiss or downplay issues of inequality or discrimination they encounter. It's important to recognize that success and struggles vary among individuals, regardless of group identity.
