A-B-C Model

The A-B-C Model is a framework used in psychology to understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. "A" stands for the Activating event or situation that triggers a response. "B" is our Beliefs or interpretations about that event. "C" represents the Consequences, or how we feel and behave as a result. The model emphasizes that it's not just the event that causes our reactions, but primarily how we interpret it. Recognizing this can help us change unhelpful beliefs to improve our emotional responses and actions.
