850 nm Wavelength

The 850 nm wavelength refers to a specific distance that light waves travel in one cycle, measured in nanometers (billionths of a meter). At 850 nm, the light is in the near-infrared part of the spectrum, just beyond visible red light. This wavelength is commonly used in fiber optic communications because it can efficiently transmit data over short to medium distances with minimal loss and interference. Devices like certain Wi-Fi or security cameras also use 850 nm infrared light for night vision, as it is invisible to the human eye but effective for imaging in darkness.
