8000-meter peaks

The 8000-meter peaks are the tallest mountains in the world, all exceeding 8,000 meters (about 26,247 feet) above sea level. These peaks are located in the Himalayas and Karakoram ranges, with Mount Everest being the highest at 8,848 meters. Due to their extreme altitude, these mountains pose severe challenges for climbers, including low oxygen levels, extreme weather, and difficult terrain. They are considered the ultimate goal for mountaineers and symbolize exceptional human achievement and resilience. There are 14 such peaks, and conquering all of them is known as completing the "eight-thousanders."
