The 6th century CE refers to the period from the year 501 to 600 AD. It was a time of significant change across the world, particularly in Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa. In Europe, the Western Roman Empire had fallen, leading to the rise of various kingdoms and the spreading influence of Christianity.
