67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko
67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko is a comet with a distinctive, peanut-shaped appearance, orbiting the Sun in the solar system's outer regions. It is composed mainly of ice, dust, and rocky material, remnants from the early solar system formed over 4.6 billion years ago. Its nucleus is about 4 kilometers across, and it develops a glowing coma and tail as it approaches the Sun, causing the ice to vaporize. The European Space Agency’s Rosetta mission studied it extensively, providing insights into comet composition, structure, and the role such objects may have played in delivering water and organic materials to Earth.
