381st Bombardment Group (H)

The 381st Bombardment Group (Heavy) was a United States Army Air Forces unit during World War II, primarily equipped with B-17 Flying Fortress bombers. Activated in 1942, it played a significant role in the strategic bombing campaign against Nazi Germany, flying missions over Europe to destroy military targets, infrastructure, and industrial sites.
