2D Ultrasound

A 2D ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create flat, two-dimensional images of the inside of the body. During the procedure, a small device called a transducer sends sound waves into the body, which bounce off tissues and organs. These echoes are captured and converted into real-time images on a monitor. Commonly used in pregnancy, it helps visualize the fetus, but also assists in diagnosing conditions of organs like the heart, liver, or kidneys. 2D ultrasounds are safe, painless, and provide valuable information for medical assessment.
