2D barcodes
2D barcodes are visual patterns that encode information both horizontally and vertically, allowing them to store much more data than traditional barcodes. They typically appear as square or rectangular images with complex arrangements of black and white modules (small squares or dots). These barcodes can include URLs, product details, or contact info, and are quickly read by cameras or scanners. Examples include QR codes and Data Matrix codes. Their ability to store large amounts of data in a compact space makes them useful for inventory management, payments, marketing, and authentication purposes.
