2D and 3D coordinates
2D and 3D coordinates describe positions in space. A 2D coordinate uses two values, typically called X (horizontal axis) and Y (vertical axis), like pinpointing a location on a flat map or drawing. It tells where something is on a flat surface. A 3D coordinate adds a third value, Z, which represents depth or height, allowing you to locate things in space more precisely, similar to finding an object inside a room (width, height, and depth). In essence, 2D is flat, while 3D adds volume, providing a complete sense of position in a three-dimensional environment.
