2003 Iraq War

The 2003 Iraq War was a conflict initiated by the United States and coalition allies, aiming to remove Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who was suspected of possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) and supporting terrorism. The U.S. argued that Iraq posed a security threat, leading to a military invasion in March 2003. The war quickly toppled Saddam’s government, but WMDs were not found, and the conflict resulted in prolonged instability, insurgency, and significant loss of life. The war's aftermath deeply affected Iraq’s political landscape and international relations.
