1783 Montgolfier flight
In 1783, the Montgolfier brothers, Joseph-Michel and Jacques-Étienne, conducted a groundbreaking flight using a hot air balloon. They filled a large, paper and cloth balloon with heated air, which made it rise. On September 19, 1783, they launched a 9-meter-tall balloon that carried a sheep, a duck, and a rooster for about 3 kilometers, demonstrating that living creatures could fly. This event marked the first recorded flight of a piloted aircraft and laid the foundation for the development of modern aviation, illustrating humanity's fascination with flight and the principles of buoyancy and hot air.
