14th Dalai Lama

The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and was the political leader of Tibet until 2011. Born in 1935, he is recognized as a reincarnation of previous Dalai Lamas. Known for his advocacy of compassion, non-violence, and human rights, he has promoted understanding between different cultures and religions. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, he has become a global symbol of peaceful resistance, spiritual wisdom, and Tibetan cultural preservation. Despite exile since 1959 due to political conflict with China, he continues to inspire worldwide through his teachings and activism.
