1/6 Committee

The 1/6 Committee, officially known as the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, was established by the U.S. House of Representatives to examine the events surrounding the January 6, 2021, attack. Its purpose was to investigate how and why the Capitol was stormed by a mob attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. The committee gathered evidence, held hearings, and interviewed witnesses to understand the causes of the assault and to recommend measures to prevent such an event in the future.
